I'm an English expat constantly struggling to be understood in a different country. I work in the cut throat world trying to bring "YARRR" and "Ne'er-Do-Well" into regular conversation My swear word of choice is Stink Nugget. I'm a yarn snob.

Some pictures from life

So - I finally added some pictures. These were from the pre party party.

This is just a quick post before my guilty pleasure comes on TV... Dr. L will be so happy, I hope, I've just finished the little gauntlet thingies.

Last night S and I saw Controller Controller and Death From Above 1979. Rockoriffic! How convenient that Amazon has a deal on joint purchases... Both are highly recommended.

I've just realized that I have "not long at all" to finish reading this month's book club book (I can't even remember what it is, naughty minty). One day, I might actually finish reading a book in time.

Another S has a party this coming weekend. Its a theme party. Do I dare learn from my recent lesson that I shouldn't bother making a theme effort? We'll see....

More knitting frenzy

So - I've finished the "super secret presents" and will post pictures once they are no longer so very secret.

I did start my next knitting project - some gauntlets for Dr. L. Whilst it does sound like I'm getting a little medieval on her ass, its not as Ren Faire as it may sound (cue classic lightning bolt video). I just hope I don't run out of yarn... whatever.

Tonight is the "Bunnies on Crosses" party. In true heretic fashion, its a "come as your favorite biblical character party. Taking things possibly a little too literally, I'm planning on coming as a stigmata-esque easter bunny. Although I've been rather stiffled in my plans as a Donnie Darko type bunny outfit it rather tricky to conjure up in about 4 hours notice (I was lazy), and the backup plan as the Plagues of Egypt is equally troublesome. However, "The Passion of the Bunny" it may well be.

S bought another new guitar today. He claims that he produces them from his butt (it aparently keeps them in tune better). I've lost count of how many he has now, but its a useful defence when I buy shoes.

So... more about potential content here

I thought I'd ramble a little bit about what I will subject the big, bad, intraweb to.

I'm currently obessed with:-
  • Knitting
  • Work
  • Ranting about neighbo(u)rs
  • General bitching and/or gossip
  • Weird Japanese things (including huge bottles of Sake)
I'm still playing around with formats and the like, so far, so pink.

Going on in my world right now? Apart from preparing for a viewing of Gingersnaps 2 (aka Gingersnaps Unleashed... those that know me well, will know why that title makes me giggle) and Toys Are Not For Children at the pad with Dr L, J n J (the BNAT film buffs) and S. Should be spooktastic... ummm... well - I'm working!

The US version of the latest game I've been working on is out on the shelves (still working on those pesky Euro versions). Check it out if you care:-

Tony Hawk's Underground 2 Remix for the PSP

I'm also finishing up on some super secret pressies for the family - more on that later.

Minty out

My First Blog

So, I've been mulling creating a blog for some time now. My procrastination has mainly been due to the fact that I wanted:-

a) I funny website name that wasn't taken and
b) That I had to convince myself that my life was interesting enough to actually post news of any kind withouth thinking that anyone actually cared.

I then decided that my requirements above shold be ignored completely, and that I might as well just do it. So... here it is... its pink... its craftsie... its terribly boring.

Enjoy!
